Head of Finance / Finance Director, Caffeine & Machine

Obsessive about accuracy and the detail yet able to connect with the bigger picture, the part-time Head of Finance owns and operates the end-to-end financial cycle. This output enables fellow leaders to deliver for their members and customers. Accountabilities include:

  • Up to £75,000k per annum (FTE)
  • Up to £8,000 bonus per annum, paid quarterly (pro-rata)
  • 24 Days Annual Leave + Bank Holiday + Birthday
  • Contributory employer pension

To this end, we are currently advertising for both a full time Financial Controller AND a part time Head of Finance to explore the talent interested in our unique scale up story. One of these two positions will be recruited, with the part time leader role pairs with addition bookkeeping support to ensure processing power.



Key Accountabilities

INSPIRE PEOPLE HAPPINESS

  • Produce Profit & Loss accurately and on time
  • Identify financial themes, opportunities and actions
  • Partner and develop leaders to shape financial results
  • Lead and, in time, grow the C&M finance team


CONSISTENT CUSTOMER SATISFACTION

  • Oversee accuracy of payroll and pensions
  • Analyse cost base, validating returns are optimised
  • Regulate debtor and creditor payments and terms
  • Own and cultivate third-party financial relationships


GENERATING SALES GROWTH

  • Lead the quarterly and annual budget production
  • Maintain F&B menu and other selling-price simulations
  • Maintain cashflow forecasts that build liquidity
  • Appraise Capex and other investment projects


OPTIMISE PROFIT RESULTS

  • Hold personal oversight of treasury functions
  • Set, monitor and refine loss prevention processes
  • Ensure HMRC compliance to all payable tax codes
  • Lead the annual audit and statutory accounts cycle

  • Would ideally work no less than a total of 2 days across the week but we are open to options
